Sievert blowtorch spares: matching the right replacement burner

The Sievert ranges you will meet
Sievert hand torches come in three families that cover most of what is on site and in the workshop: the Promatic series - the professional cartridge system - the Turbo-series power burners, and the Pro / Maxis hand torches. The families share the blowtorch logic but not the spares, so the series name is the first thing to read off your torch.
All three are covered in our fit tables, and every Sievert row in those tables is matched to your model rather than sold blind - the Sievert spares collection is the starting point, and the series name off your torch is the second.
What actually wears out
The burner takes the abuse. Every ignition erodes the orifice a little, every dirty gas supply leaves carbon in it, and one day the flame goes ragged or split no matter how you set the valve. That is burner wear, and a burner is a replaceable part.
Before replacing anything, clean it. A yellow, sooting flame is carbon until proved otherwise, and a proper clean with a tip cleaner set is a two-minute job - how to clean a clogged torch nozzle walks through it. Replace the burner when the flame stays ragged after a real clean, because at that point the orifice itself is worn and no wire will bring it back.
Read the stamp before you order
Replacement burners are matched by what is stamped on the old one, not by what the torch looks like. Take the burner off a cold torch and read the size marking on it; then read the series name on the torch body. Those two pieces of information are the whole identification job in most cases.
No legible stamp, or a torch too old to carry one? A clear photo of the old burner next to a ruler does the same job - send it with the series name and we will match it.
Series by series: what the replacement covers
Promatic-series torches take replacement burners matched to the burner size. Turbo-series power burners are matched the same way, by the stamp on the old burner. Pro and Maxis hand torches again follow the same logic - the series tells us the family, the stamp tells us the size.
What none of this needs is guesswork. The compatibility chart cross-references Sievert models against the replacement part, and any row marked for matching is confirmed against your specific torch before anything is posted.
When it is not the burner
A torch that will not light is not automatically a burner problem. Check the gas first - a cartridge or cylinder near empty, or a regulator not delivering. Then the ignition: a piezo that has stopped sparking is its own fault, separate from the burner. Then the connections: a gas smell at any joint means stop, and a soap-and-water test on the connection tells you where.
Only when gas, ignition and connections are all proved good does a no-light or bad-flame point back at the burner - usually a blocked orifice, which the cleaning step above answers, or a worn one, which is the replacement case. Working in that order is cheaper than working in any other.
Confirming fit before you buy
Three things confirm a spare: the series name off the torch, the stamp off the old burner, and - if you can measure them - the thread and seat dimensions. Any one of them beats guessing; all three together are certain.
Send them via the contact page - a photo of the old part next to a ruler is the single most useful thing you can attach. Models not on the list get matched free; we would rather tell you it does not fit than post you a part that will not seal.
Third-party spares and honesty
TorvPro parts are high-quality compatible replacements: independent, and not affiliated with Sievert. The Sievert name on this page is fitment reference only - and that is exactly why the price stays sensible.
Quick answers
Are these genuine Sievert parts?
No - they are high-quality compatible replacements, independent third-party spares. We are not affiliated with Sievert; the brand name is used for fitment reference only.
Will a replacement burner fit my Promatic?
The Promatic series is covered in our fit tables. Burners are matched by the size stamped on your old one, so send us the stamp or a photo and we confirm the fit before you order.
My Sievert flame went yellow - is the burner worn out?
Not yet. Yellow and sooting is carbon until proved otherwise: clean the orifice with a properly sized tip cleaner first. If the flame stays ragged or split after a proper clean, the orifice is worn and the burner is the fix.
Do you stock Sievert spares or match to order?
Sievert rows in our tables are matched to your model rather than sold blind. Send the series name and the stamp off the old burner and we confirm the right part before anything ships.
What if my torch model is not listed anywhere?
Send it anyway - model name, photos of the torch and the old burner, and measurements if you can take them. We match unlisted models for free.
